1994 Ford Super Van to Race in Ford Extravaganza

The Ford Transit is a van that has been extremely popular in Europe for a long time. While we are just getting the Transit here in the United States recently, the Transit in Europe has been used in everything from hauling band equipment from show to show, or helping criminals rob banks. The Transit has even been modified by people making it want to go fast.

The 1994 Ford Super Van is one of those vehicles. This van is capable of a quite ridiculous 150 mph to speed, thanks to a 295 horsepower supercharged Cosworth Pro Sports 3000 engine. If you know anything about Cosworth, you know they make some fast machines.

To help it look the part, and to probably help keep it somewhat stable at 150 miles per hour, the Super Van has a rear wing and aggressive body work. It’s still a box on wheels, but it looks like it’s at least an aerodynamic box on wheels!

The Super Van’s appearance at CarFest helps mark the 50th birthday of the Transit. Also at the show will be a gold-painted new Transit, and heading up the Ford brigade will be an EcoBoost Mustang convertible. 2015 marks the first year the Mustang is available in the United Kingdom in left-hand drive.

What do you think? Would you drive it? Let us know in the forums!
