1979 Ford F-250 XLT Ranger Dentside
As the dream of the Nineties is alive in Portland, Oregon, the dream of the Seventies is alive with this 1979 F-250 XLT Ranger Dentside in the nearby city of Cornelius. The owner says this Dentside (named for the indent along the sides of the 1973-1979 F-Series trucks) has “a few small dings” and “light surface rust in [the] truck bed,” but is in otherwise great shape.
And you can’t beat the double-shot of green with this F-250, a combination of dark and light jade green that the owner says needs a redo (the hood alone has a touch of black instead of the dark jade). The interior continues the theme, which mixes the finest plastic wood trim money can buy; even the steering wheel cover is in on the act.
The F-250 works hard and plays hard, too, thanks to its 460 long-block V8 and rebuilt three-speed automatic. The powertrain has been refreshed with new fluids and components, among the many repairs which the owner promises “will keep you from doing them in the future.” All this can be yours for $3,500, the right price for a truck as green as the evergreens dotting its Cascadia home.
