This 1979 Bronco is a Second Generation Gem

By -

Second generation Broncos are becoming more and more popular, and for good reason.  These big old brutes represent one of the coolest vehicles Ford ever produced, and they are tough as nails.  Unlike its predecessor, the 78-79 Bronco was based on the F-150, moving it out of the compact SUV ranks.

For collectors and Ford fans in general, all of this adds up to one desirable truck.  The 1979 you see here is a great example of the breed – fixed up enough to make for a nice, reliable toy, yet not perfect to the point where you’re going to pay a ton of coin for it.  And chances are, it’s only going to become more valuable as you enjoy it over the next few years.

This 2nd gen Bronco has a newer paint job that has a few minor imperfections, complemented by a modern set of Fuel Wheels and Cooper tires.  The chrome and trim are in good shape, as is the original interior.  New carpet and a new back seat complement the original bits, which are in pretty excellent condition.

The original 400 still resides under the hood, but the heads have been rebuilt and the timing chain replaced.  Overall, the big white Bronco is a great driver that you can enjoy for many years to come.  And with the market as red hot as it is, you can also sit back and watch prices continue to rise.
