Be ‘Brown to the Bone’ With This 1978 Ford F-250

When you want to make a statement, there isn’t a much better way to do it than with a classic, four-wheel drive crew cab pickup. Four door trucks, while a common sight these days, weren’t quite as popular in the 70’s, making this big brown 1978 F-250 a relatively brown to the bone beast.

Adding to the intimidating appearance is a 4″ lift with 35″ tires. That’ll help passers by get a good look at the super clean underside, where you’ll find new driveshafts, a refreshed transfer case, and a new rear end with 4.10 gears.

Power comes in spades from a fuel-injected 460, which has Dove heads and a mild cam for a little extra power. An aluminum radiator with electric fans keeps the big block cool, and a rebuilt C6 sends all that power to the wheels.

The owner has put quite a bit of time and money into this beastly brown to the bone project, and it shows. This is a great looking and undoubtedly capable truck that will turn heads everywhere it goes.  And if you’re the type that likes to, say, intimidate left lane hogs, it’s the perfect solution to a growing epidemic.
