1975 Ford F-250 Is One Cool Collectible Project
Nicely-optioned and mechanically-sound Super Cab Ford F-250 checks all the boxes for a project truck.
If you’re like us, you’ve probably searched seemingly everywhere for that perfect project. The kind of pickup that you can buy relatively cheap, but not one that’s a total lost cause. If you’re going to pour your blood, sweat, tears, and hard-earned cash into it, it better be something special. And they don’t get much more special than a Super Cab, 1975 Ford F-250 XLT Ranger Camper Special, now do they?
That rarely seen configuration adorns this cool old pickup that’s currently up for grabs in the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Marketplace. And it also seems to meet our other criteria for a cool old project. For starters, the asking price for this vintage Ford F-250 is a modest $4,000. And it reportedly runs and drives great, to the point where the seller drives it nearly every day.
Heck, it even comes with a slew of new parts. They include extra wheels and tires, two sets of hub caps, two new mufflers, and just about every repair manual you could ask for. The original 360 has been rebuilt, and the odometer shows a solid 87k miles. The Ford F-250 is nicely optioned as well, with power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. Pretty much everything mechanical is new or rebuilt, from the brakes to the fuel system.
The only caveat, of course, is that it needs some body work. The floors appear to be rusty, and there’s a little rot in other spots. But the seller notes that the truck was rustproofed from the get go, so it isn’t too terrible. The interior and exterior could use some freshening up as well, if you like your pickups perfect. But truthfully, we think this Super Cab Ford F-250 is pretty much super as is!
