1972 Bronco a Solid Project Truck With Good Bones
This Bronco may be a little weathered, but it is still a solid rig that could make heads turn with a little TLC.
We can’t resist the appeal of the first-gen Ford Broncos. These rigs were built to perform on and off-road, with simple but strong styling that makes them timeless. So when we came across this 1972 Ford Bronco on eBay, we just loved it. Sure, it’s a little rough. But this baby would make a dream project truck.
Also adding to its appeal is the price, currently at less than $10,000. The Bronco is currently road ready, and is powered by a 302 V8 2bbl, mated to an automatic transmission. It has about 93,000 miles and lots of life in it.
The interior definitely could use a refresh, new roll bar, seating, dash. But with a little imagination and some elbow grease this Bronco could definitely be restored to its former glory.
Depending on your style, you could keep the rust and maybe bring out the patina’s character. Or give this Bronco a new paint job, and watch her shine.
We definitely look forward to a new Bronco, but we have to give it up to these early pioneers. They remain timelessly cool and capable.
What would you do to this classic Bronco? Restoration, restomod, rat rod…? Let us know!
