1971 Ford F-100 with 45k Miles Is So Much Want
The 1971 Ford F-100 truck featured here isn’t just another retro job, it’s a legit two-owner beaut with a mere 45,220 original miles on the odometer. It has reportedly received the love of a favored family member over its lifespan, living in a garage and being protected from the evil elements. And now, it’s up for grabs for a lucky soon-to-be third owner!
Just because it’s been lovingly cared for doesn’t mean that it hasn’t had some work done to it, however. The Ford truck has been resprayed in the original Boxwood Green. Also, a new headliner with built-in speakers was installed some years back. A dual exhaust has been added, too, along with new bumpers, but the rest of the truck is pure 1971 F-Series.
Power comes from a mighty 302 with an old-school three-speed manual transmission on-the-tree. Factory options include power steering, power brakes and air-conditioning. The steel wheels are correct 1971 pieces, but the hub caps are from a 1972 F-100. (It’s the little details that count.)
This 1971 Ford F-100 is a great example of a low-mileage survivor. The respray will undoubtedly turn off some buyers, but if that gives somebody a discount on the purchase price, is it really a bad thing? No matter what you think about the subtle changes, it’s hard to deny that this is one handsome truck!
