This 1970 Ford Bronco is notable as-is, but its rarely seen vintage camper makes it a truly cool combination.

These days, the Ford Bronco is arguably hotter than ever, partially due to the off-road SUV’s return for the 2021 model year. But even before the sixth-gen model came along, folks were clamoring to buy up all of the vintage Broncos left in the world, and are paying big money for them. That will also likely be the case with this very cool 1970 Ford Bronco up for grabs on eBay, which also happens to be equipped with a cool vintage camper.

The 1970 Ford Bronco itself is a pretty nice, unmodified, uncut example of a first-gen, albeit one with some obvious wear. The seller reportedly drives it rather frequently, and it reportedly runs and drives quite well, with good brakes, newer batteries, and the original 302 V8 backed up by a three-speed column-mounted transmission.

Those attributes alone would make this a cool and valuable piece, but its Bronco-branded camper makes it not only more intriguing, but also a bit more special than the average first-gen. The listing doesn’t contain much information about the camper, but appears to be one built by a company called Four Wheel Campers, which is still in business today.

With matching “Bronco” badges, the camper is, like the vehicle that it’s attached to, very much original and in pretty decent shape. It’s collapsible, which is nice for aerodynamic purposes and clearing lower-hanging structures, and stepping inside is like taking a trip back to a different era, thanks to the abundance of faux wood and plaid trim.

We imagine that this old Bronco/camper duo has had some pretty wild adventures over the years, and probably has some interesting stories to tell. Perhaps it was owned by a family or an older couple who liked to do things like camp in the woods, decades before overlanding was officially a thing. Whether or not the seller is one of those folks or knows its history, well, that isn’t clear, but it has peaked our interest.

After initially listing the Bronco for a bit over $70k, it seems that the seller realized he was aiming a bit high, and has since lowered the asking price to just a hair under $50k. Whether or not he gets that money for this cool combo remains to be seen, but we imagine someone will pony up the cash needed to bring it home.
