1966 F-100: Dreamy, Modern, Vintage, Cruiser
No need to pinch yourself. This incredible restomod 1966 F-100 is very real and it’s found a new wealthy owner.
Dreams are funny things. Sometimes they’re downright scary and incredibly realistic. But then again, dreams can be rather pleasant, too, especially when they include beautiful objects of desire like this 1966 Ford F-100 that recently sold on eBay. Heck, it even rocks a dreamy factory blue/white color combination, so you might even think that your head’s actually in the clouds.
Thankfully, the builder of this amazing ride didn’t do anything too crazy on the exterior aside from the drool-worthy paint job. As a result, the old Ford retains all of its inherent charm and “shininess.” Oh, and the thorough re-chrome of all the trim helps, too. In a much more modern note, the vintage Ford is capable smoothing out the harshest of bumps thanks to a four-way adjustable air ride setup.
As they like to say on all the TV infomercials “but wait, there’s more!” This F-100 is not a one-trick-pony. In fact, it’s got a 5.0-liter Coyote crate motor under the hood! It, along with the O/D transmission, computer, and wiring came straight from a Ford Performance catalog, and we’re betting it sounds delicious through the set of ceramic-coated headers and Magnaflow exhaust.
The interior is just as pleasant a sight as the exterior. A gentle shade of tan covers all the accommodations, including a custom set of bucket seats, and Vintage Air keeps occupants cool. All-in-all, the previous seller claimed to have invested $80k in this dreamy ride!
While it seems that the new buyer “stole” the truck for nearly half of that amount, this F-100 is still a very pricey toy, but it will be worth it in the end. Right?
