This 1965 Ford F-100 is a True American Badass

The mid-60’s represented a golden age for Ford, and the styling of their venerable American F-Series pickup. The fourth generation of their legendary truck was easily one of the best-looking ever produced, with swooping wheel arches and an unmistakable front-end, as you can see on this awesome example.

Those timeless styling cues are a big reason why prices on these trucks have skyrocketed in recent years. Long overlooked as 60’s muscle cars dominated the spotlight, old trucks have begun to catch up with their passenger car brethren, and are now commanding top-dollar for top rides.

This 1965 F-100 is a fantastic example of why. With a period-perfect black and red color combination, shiny chrome, and vintage Cragar SS wheels, you just can’t help but fall in love with it. Mostly stock-ish, this classic American pickup is set to be a great weekend cruiser.

Under the hood lies a Ford 302, which exhales through a set of glasspacks and out of the side of the truck. It’s backed up by a three-speed automatic transmission for easy cruising, and it has been dressed up with some shiny stuff. Inside, things are very tidy with only an aftermarket gauge pod added for emphasis.

If you’re into classic Ford trucks (and why wouldn’t you be?), you can’t help but admire this beautiful mid-60’s example. Just looking at it transports you back to a different era when trucks were both mechanically simple and simply gorgeous to look at!
