1964 Ford F-100 4×4 Is One Gem of a Find
This particular F-100 has a lot of other things going for it, too. There’s the 292 V8 under the hood. The original stitching on the seat, and of course, that attractive baby blue paint. Most everything on this Custom Cab looks original, right down to the wheels. The seller has gone through the mechanicals as well, redoing the brakes, master cylinder, and exhaust system.
Nobody’s saying that early Ford four-wheel drive pickups are the next air-cooled Porsche on the collector market. But even if you don’t have any interest in blue chip collectibles, it’s nice to see such a stellar example of a rare truck still around. After all, if there’s one positive thing about rising interest (and prices), it’s that we’ll start to see more and more clean Ford F-100 4x4s popping up across the country. Which is better than letting them rot away in some barn!
