Bring Back Old-School With a 1957 Ford F-100
The desire to recapture the past has always been a thing. And the love of all things old-school continues to thrive today. While other trends have come and gone, trucks that are build with a nod towards the old days of hot rods have never gone out of style.
Trucks like this 1957 Ford F-100. It has a few subtle and tasteful old school touches, but thankfully not much has been done in regards to custom body work. Ford did these trucks right from the factory. The timeless Cragar wheels mounted on staggered size tires give it a nice rake, and are a welcome change.
The original 272 V8 still sits under the hood, but it’s been fortified with a number of performance parts. These include a four barrel manifold and Edelbrock carb, PCV valve conversion, and a set of old school fender well headers, and dual exhaust with electric valves for when you want to announce your arrival.
The interior is, well—brown. There’s nothing frivolous or unnecessary on the inside, just a mix of stock and aftermarket bits. The rubber floor mat lives on in lieu of carpeting, though a sparkly green rimmed Moon steering wheel replaces the original one.
This 1957 Ford F-100 has just enough custom touches to give it a real retro feel without going too far. It’s truly a nice mix of new and old that makes it a special truck.
