You Need This 1956 Ford F-100 in Your Life

By -

Are you tired of looking at shiny and bright red 50’s Fords sitting on giant chrome wheels? Bored of the same ‘ole high-dollar, chromed-out, jewelry-grade retro Ford trucks?  If that’s the case, this old beauty is the cure for life you’ve been waiting for – a matte British Racing Green 1956 F-100.

Seriously, when was the last time you saw anything painted matte British racing green? It’s a really unique and very cool look that suits this old Ford perfectly. The retro theme continues with a unique wheel and tire combination, and an old-school hand-painted Sinclair Oil logo on the doors.

Things remain largely old-school everywhere else as well. The suspension has been rebuilt but is mostly stock, with arched leaf springs that drop it down for a nice stance. Drum brakes still remain at all-four corners, but they have been rebuilt as well.

Reliable power comes courtesy of a crate 302 with a Holley carb, backed up by a C4 automatic transmission. No fuel injection, and no unnecessary modern frills here. Just a cool and unique old truck that you can drive anywhere and enjoy. And isn’t that the point of our hobby in the first place?
