This 1955 Ford F-100 Checks All the Boxes
What exactly constitutes the “perfect truck?” The answers you get will vary greatly depending on who you ask, but several are universal. A powerful engine, great paint and body work, clean interior, and solid suspension are bound to be among them. Some trucks have one or a combination of these qualities, while others check all the boxes.
This 1955 F-100 is bound to check a lot of boxes for a lot of folks. The 50’s Ford design lines are timeless, and bright red paint is always a crowd pleaser. Top it off with lots of shiny chrome, fresh wood in the bed, and some classic five spoke wheels and you’re already heading the right direction.
A 347 stroker under a forward tilt hood is the cure for the common 302, pumping out an estimated 375 horsepower (and undoubtedly a nice torque number as well). The driveability quotient has been cranked up a few notches with power steering and brakes. Inside you’ll find tan leather on the headliner, seat, and door panels, with a Vintage A/C unit to keep things cool.
Some trucks look great or go fast, others are reliable and ugly, and yet others are patina’d originals. Then there are trucks like this ’55, which do everything well. It simply checks all the boxes, making it one well rounded classic Ford!
