This Gorgeous 1953 Ford F-100 is Simply Perfect

Ah, the 1950’s.  A time when you drank milkshakes and Coke without worrying about the health side-effects. You also probably drove a cool truck, because Ford was producing what were arguably the best looking pickups of all time. And in 1953, they took on the moniker that would live on for decades – the F-100.

For many, these are the perfect trucks to turn into hot rods and cruisers. Those curvy fenders are simply too cool, and the simplicity makes them the perfect canvas for whatever you want to build.  Plus, you can fit them with just about any drivetrain and suspension you want with ease.

There are plenty of nice examples out there, but for fans of simple and clean, this 1953 is easily among the best. The owner didn’t set out to reinvent the wheel, just to build a show quality truck that even the most discerning person would love. And he succeeded on all levels.

Everybody loves black (except body and paint guys), and it sets off the chrome trim and wheels perfectly. It sits on top of wheels courtesy of a Mustang II front clip and various suspension mods. A 302 V8 keeps with the simple theme, featuring enough upgrades to give it adequate power.

In a world of extremes, sometimes it’s just nice to see and appreciate simple beauty. And this ’53 has it in spades.
