FORD OF CANADA SEPTEMBER SALES BOOSTED BY ALL-NEW 2004 F-150
OAKVILLE, ON., October 1, 2003 – The all-new 2004 Ford F-150 drove F-Series to the best September sales since 1999 and an 18 per cent increase over last year. Total truck sales of 13,930 were off 3.5 percent from September 2002 and car sales were off 26.8 per cent from last year at 4,947. Combined sales were 18,877 units, an 11 percent decrease from September 2002.
“The new F-150 is the first in a long list of new products that Ford Motor Company will introduce over the next five years and the level of consumer excitement generated by this truck will only grow as these new products come to market,” said Robert Girard, vice president of sales, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited. “F-Series has been Canada’s favourite pickup truck for the last 37-years and we expect the new F-150 will only lengthen this domination.”
” The 2004 Freestar, which will arrive at Ford of Canada dealerships this month, is the next new product from Ford and we think consumer reaction will be similar to F-Series,” added Girard.
