I know there are a lot of bone head ignorant parts people (cashiers)but =
there are also a few of us smart ones too. We are the ones that know =
how to use the catalogs and in fact know a lot about cars and work on =
them too. I know we are few but if you need a part and you are in Buena =
Park, Ca. come on in to Hi/Lo automotive and experience the quality =
that Mr. Tim can offer----oh and sometimes it is the idiot customers =
that are too stupid to even be working on cars---ie. how do you change =
an oil filter? just felt that I needed to respond to all parts people =
being stupid --they are not---although Chiefs and other big chains do =
have a lot of morons that don't know what a 9" ford is or from. Wow =
this feels good to get this all out----oh and by the way help the morons =
out know the info about your car/truck otherwise they talk the same shit =
about you as you do of them.

Subject: "tree forks" ranting

you bring up something that really gets me p*ss*d off lately!
the really stupid parts counter people at the big parts places. these =
and girls have no clue! Now, even with a receipt at parts america, they =

won't replace my universal joint that broke because the part in their =
box doesn't look like the broken part in my old box. but i haven't =
universals anywhere else since i found out that they have a lifetime=20
garentee on the ones i use! their company changed the part. not me!
they seem totally ignorant of how to find a part without knowing make =
model engine transmission etc. my truck is a mutt! no parts are really =

original and came from all kinds of sources! and have them actually =
in stock for a part "like this" and they go to lunch and never come =
napa once gave me ripped gaskets, but refused to go back into the =
to get a new box - i don't go there anymore. national can't seem to =
out the right brake pad for anything i own, and in east stroudsburg pa =
to hire airheaded girls that are there just for "looks" but can't tell =
where a 1/4 ntp to 1/8 ntp adapter might be on the shelf, 'cause it =
where i'd look for it.
this "too few forks in family tree" seems to have hit the local junk =
too lately. i took in a yoke for a 9" rear that i broke. he says "what =
it from?"
"from a 9" rear."
"from what car?"
"a truck"
"what year truck?"
here's where i get aggrivated! it doesn't matter since there is really=20
only two kinds of yokes with some smaller variations of those two - take =

the d*mn part i have to the shelves and see if you have one!

sorry for the ranting but i needed to get it out as the screaming i do =
the people doesn't seem to help and as of lately it is only getting =
those national auto ads lie, the parts guys really don't know cr*p =
cars, trucks, or even the basic operation of changing oil!

Russell makes the check valve bleeders.

You can buy them direct from Russell for about 12.00 each (i think)

They tell me that AutoZone sells them..but none of the AZ boys ever
heard of them and mumble something about "...special order...duh =
5 or 6 weeks..duh what was them things called again". (minumum =
in family tree)

I saw them in Hot Rod (i think) several months ago in one of those
little new product boxes. I would try Russell Direct. I don't =
the number with me today but will post it tomorrow..

Hope this helps

Subject: 56 F100 3/4ton hybrid truck thing

Had a guy stop by the other day and ask me about the 56 F100 I have
which belonged to my grandfather many years ago. (The truck is
waiting for me to get around to messing with it, which I will do
eventually...) The guy said "Too bad it's a 3/4." To which I
replied, "Nope, it's a 100. It's a model that had an 8-foot bed, but
I don't think the weight changed." Then he mentioned that it looked
like it had a 3/4ton rear end on it.

So what's the deal. Grandpa put in a 292 and a granny-low 4speed in
place of the 272 and 3-speed. The wheels are 15" 8-holers which a
tire/wheel place said you almost never see on a truck that size. How
would I tell if grandpa switched out the rear end also?

This guy also had a chrome 56 grill and nothing to put on it. I have
no idea what kind of price this would command. Any guesses?

Subject: Re: Electrolisis derusting process

after seeing the post about electrolisis, and no further info, I was
intrigued enough to do some searching. I came up with two articles about
it.(one links to the other) They are talking about cleaning tools but it
seams to me this process can be used on anything rusted.I would be interested
to know the results if anyone tries this.Check out

Sorry Randy, I don't mean anything bad by this, I'm hoping someone can
help. I know your doing everything you can do!
This is the properties of the e-mail received by me. Can anyone see what
this attachment is a how it can be turned off so this brother and others can
post without wondering if they are causing problems for others!
Randy, I appreciate your efforts in trying to cure this. Thank you! I've
been going thru Windows messaging AKA Inbox and it has an advance button in
the options for text that has a plain text choice.
The reason I'm posting this is if it was me trying to fix this I'd be
ready to blow a fuse and would appreciate some help. I hope this gets it for
you. I only wish I could give you more help!
I am also interested if the attachment follows this reply. If it does,
that's what I would expect it to do. If not and it's the type of text then
why didn't it.

If this screws up peoples e-mail I'm sorry! Just trying to give aid and it
only needs to be done once!

If the nuts seem loose they were probably damaged when you removed them.
Try a new nut if it is still loose your only option is a new axle,When you
install the new nut try some antiseize compound it will help straighten the
