My 1955 F-100 radio does not work. Have checked speaker connections, and
have power to the tuner,(the light comes on). does any one have a source
for repair or replacement of this radio? Thanks in advance, Steve Cotner

maybe I'm slow..but I just found this site (thanks to Jay Phillips)
and if anyone else is as slow as me...check it out

there is some excellent info on tilt column/hanging brake, driveline
phasing, and other good info for the old truck guys...(old trucks not
old guys...).

it's nice to see some of this stuff in print with pictures for the
mentally challenged like me.

Steve,

I'll take it. (that is a joke). Actually, I saw one source where
they will repair yours, Sounds very expensive though. $269.00
or for $425.00 they'll make it AM and FM. They call it a restoration
and that comes with a one year guarantee.

They sell a radio manual for $5.00. These are very simple radios
basic stuff. ( of course electronics is my field). Send me a e-mail
off list and describe the problem in detail, I'll help you trouble-shoot
it.

By the way, if you happen to know where I could get a radio, I'll take it.

This is a good site, although seams to lean toward the C's.
The person who answers the tech questions seems
to know what he's talking about. One more opinion
never hurt either.

Try Mike Hagan Antique Auto Radio Repair 235 glouster rd, Fairless
Hills, PA 19030, tel# 215-547-7145. I`ve talked to him at Carlisle shows
and had him check out my 63 galaxie amfm. He also has radios for sale and
I know I saw 55 ford radios at his spot in the fleamarket. Hope this
helps.
