If you really want to know what the specs are, then stop by a dealer and
pick up a spec sheet that will give you the options and the listed ratings.

Also, check out Sept issue of "Trailer Life" pp 94 under the RV Clinic &
Performance section. There is a section titled "Dualies and Fifth-Wheels
Part III". This is a good informative insight to the "increased" carrying
capacity of pickups with dualies. As the article says, you may increase
your axle capacity, but my loose some GCVRW capacity.

If you are experiencing a loud hum (vibration) between 1,500 and 2,000
rpm, you might want to check out Ford's service notice released 4/28/97,
TSB 97-9-20.

It applies to 4WD 1996 and 1997 model F-250HD and F350 Pickups. There are
several potential causes for this noise covered in the TSB. They include
engine and transmission mounting and the exhaust system.

Subject: AOD not working!

I have a "92 F150 4x4 with 5.0 liter and AOD. Most of the time the AOD
is off ( without manually turning it off). It only works in the morning
when there is dew on the ground and occasionally whenever. I can't turn
it off and on with the manual switch on the gear shift. When I drive
(with AOD off) the truck lurches going into passing gear. Could this be
a sensor or sending unit problem? Any info would be appreciated. Thanx
in advance! Ian
