I'm not sure, but Mac's, like many of the NOS/repro companies
may use Dennis Carpenter rubber components. I replaced the rear
window rubber on my 1967 F100 with a Dennis Carpenter piece (bought
from someone other than Dennis Carpenter) and it fit like a glove.
Make sure you buy 3M window sealant. Its a non-hardening black
"tacky" sealant that really does a good job, available at most auto
parts stores.

Unfortunately, the problem with windshield chrome is that if the
rubber is bad enough to let water into then the chrome is probably
bad too, especially near the bottom. Only way to know for sure is
to take off the chrome.

Here's a question for the list: since the 67-72 shares the same
windshield as the 73-79 is the rubber interchangable?

My guess is no! the 73 to 79 don't have a rain gutter all the way around
the roof and if my memory serves me correctly the 73-79 has a wide
rubber part at the top between the windshield and the roof where the
rain gutter would be.

I think if I was to get another truck it would be a 73 for the rain
gutter reason, because every truck I have ever owned with a rain gutter
over the windshield rusts out there!

I was thinking of cutting the rubber from the inside to remove the
windshield and doing the same for the chrome. The chrome seems firm in
the rubber but if I am going to mail order a seal I cant cut the rubber
now then wait weeks for the new one.

What's the feeling from the list: do you like chrome around the
windshield or not?

Maybe you all can help me decide!

Thanks

Dana
