|Son of the Blackwood. Hmmmm did a $52k plus pickup fail once before, let's introduce another one... Looks cool, interior is plush, but I think that if people wanted one, the Blackwood would have been in production for more than one year.
AMEN!!!!!! I agree with 86rustbucket......why would anyone want to pay $20,000 more for an F-150 just to get "Lincoln" nameplates and "designer" touchees throughout?!?!?! It reamins to be seen....but I think this truck will will again show that the "truck driving public" really does have more brains than money!!
Can't wait love my Blackwood
Lots of people pay the extra $15,000 bucks to buy the Navigator, instead of the Explorer, so I expect lots of people will pay the big bucks to get the Lincoln Pickup. You can't compare this new truck to the Blackwood. The Blackwood had a trunk instead of a bed, and no 4 wheel drive. This new truck will appeal to more people, IMHO. Personally, I'd buy a Lariat and save the bucks! By Superbru
lots of people pay $100,000 bucks more to buy the porsche, instead of the VW bug, so how about the price of tea in china? big ballers and shot callers still view this as a pickup truck, SUV's have gained respect but trucks of this caliber are not in demand. Lincoln fails twice with this one, especially givng it the now worthless MARK nameplate......im keeping my Expedition
This will fail. GM knows how to do it with their Escalade "truck thing". Get a clue, take a hint, Ford.
I think It just might work. I continue to buy 80s Ford trucks. But this will have a greater appeal than the blackwood did.
1 ride is all it takes to love a lincoln
I like it. Looks better than both the blackwood and the cadillac thingy. Functional bed and optional four wheel drive definitely good for cruising on up to your ski lodge in Aspen or Park City. I'll never be able to afford one, but I think the market is there. Give it a supercharger (a la Harley F-150) and a self adjusting air suspension(90's mark viii) and you've got a winner!
First off it is not going to be as much as the Caddy. Looks to be about 45k give or take. Second, when you consider that you could go all out and load up your F-150 to a price tag of about 40k, the price starts to make even more sence. You'll get all the Lincoln luxury and style at a modest price over an F-150. I can't wait. I've already been to the dealer to get place my order and hope that they release these early. It is a real nice looking truck, and the only one that has made me want to part with my 98 Ram. I already have a new exhaust picked out for it to give it that extra little umf I like.
this is a lot better than the blackwood. I like it too.
with the outrageous price of pickups these days, its not too far out of the norm.
I wish they had mde a Lincoln version of the Excursion.
My friend's dad bought one of these 3 months ago. Already lowered it with a 2" front 3" back, and has it rolling on 24"s. B-E-A-utiful.
