Nice find! Reminds me of what I started with (but yours is nicer). Looks like you have many bloody knuckles ahead of you. Keep us posted!

Really nice IFS installation. Clean and simple. himmelberg

Nicely done! Did you use the Metalastic biscuits on the mounts? They're a major factor in permitting the XJs to like the high-performance sedans that they are and still provide luxury-car quiet and comfort. You are in for a major treat when you get your truck on the road! BTW, replacement Metalastic mounts are not terribly expensive, ao there's no need to put up with road noise or harshness ever again now that you've installed the Jag suspension. Are you going to install the type 3 IRS as well? It's as easy as doing the IFS and will provide an all-around outstanding truck. Tbe beauty part of the Jag IRS is that it reduce the unsprung weight to about 1/3 of what it is normally, plus it increases the sprung weight by a couple of hundred pounds which makes the sprung/unsprung ratio all the better. A pal who has done several Jag conversions on F-100s is currently doing another for a mutual friend, and he has some great solutions for the leading control arms for the half-shafts/axles on the IRS. I'll snag some pictures the next time I'm in his shop in Sacto.

Great pictures. This is a big help to me since I am planning to put the XJ front end complete under Willard, my 49 F1. Thanks

I'm contemplating using the JAG IFS on my 50 F1. Thanks for posting your work. I like what I see. Let us know when you get to drive it.
