Some 2005-2007 F-Super Duty 250 and 350 vehicles equipped with a 5.4L 3V or 6.8L 3V engine and built on or before 9/8/2006 may exhibit an exhaust system noise often described as a snap, pop, tick, or ping. The noise may be heard after the vehicle has been shut off, but in some situations, the noise may be heard with engine running or while driving.
Replace the Y-Pipe, Catalyst Delete Tube, and Extension Tube following Workshop Manual, Section 309-00.
