  • HEADLINER DROOPS/SAGS AT REAR OF ROOF OPENING PANEL – BUILT ON OR BEFORE 10/8/2009

This article supersedes TSB 09-14-2 to update the vehicle model years, Service Procedure and add a production fix date.

ISSUE:

Some 2009-2010 F-150 vehicles equipped with a roof opening panel and built on or before 10/8/2009 may exhibit headliner droop/sag at the rear of roof opening panel.

ACTION:

Refer to the following Service Procedure to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

A service repair kit has been made available to resolve this issue. Obtain service kit and follow the instruction sheet contained within the kit to resolve the customer concern.

Failure to use materials and direction provided in the service kit may result in an unsuccessful repair attempt. The fastening system provided in the kit is specifically designed to maintain adherence in automotive interior environments.

Creases in headliner material will be eliminated once headliner position is corrected. It is not necessary to replace headliner for this condition.
