  • HARLEY-DAVIDSON SUPERCHARGER / EXHAUST CATALYST RATTLE

ISSUE:

Some 2007-2008 F-150 Harley-Davidson vehicles equipped with the Supercharger package may exhibit an exhaust rattle at idle. This concern may be caused by the exhaust catalysts.

ACTION:

Perform the following Service Procedure to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

  1. Replace both right and left exhaust catalyst assemblies. Refer to the parts list at the end of this article for additional information.Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 309-00, for removal and installation details.
  2. Drive the vehicle at moderate to highway speeds for 15 minutes to ensure break-in of the catalysts.

    NOTE:DO NOT OPERATE THE ENGINE UNDER HEAVY THROTTLE DURING THE BREAK-IN PERIOD.
