This article supersedes TSB 10-6-7 to add a production fix date and update the Part List.

ISSUE:

Some 2011 F-Super Duty 350 vehicles equipped with dual rear wheel (DRW) pickup box and chassis cab and F-Super Duty 450 vehicles equipped with DRW pickup box equipped with Dana M80 limited slip rear axle built on or before 07/31/2010, may exhibit a chatter noise from the rear axle during slow speed turns and heavily loaded conditions.

ACTION:

Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Replace the limited slip differential case with a Ford limited slip differential service kit. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 205-02A Rear Drive Axle/Differential Dana 80.
