  • BRAKES – REAR BRAKE DRAG AND/OR PREMATURE WEAR OF THE REAR BRAKE LININGS

ISSUE:

The right rear brake may drag or the lining may wear on some vehicles. This may be caused by the parking brake cable partially actuating the brake linings.

ACTION:

Replace the right rear Parking Brake Cable with F85Z-2A635-FA and the Parking Brake Control Assembly with F75Z-2780-GC. Refer to Section 206-05 of the appropriate year F-150/250 Workshop Manual for removal and installation procedures.

NOTE:INSPECT THE BRAKE DRUMS AND LININGS AND REPLACE AS REQUIRED. REFER TO SECTIONS 206-05 AND 206-02 OF THE APPROPRIATE YEAR WORKSHOP MANUAL FOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURES.
