1998-1999 E-250, E-350, F-150, F-250 LD

ISSUE:

Some bi-fuel vehicles may exhibit a no start condition. Revised diagnostic procedures are available for a no start condition when in alternative fuel mode (alternative fuel light on, then off) to avoid unnecessary or premature component replacement.

ACTION:

Verify condition. Refer to the following diagnostic Service Procedure for details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

NOTE:THE LPG SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE TO THE UNLEADED GASOLINE OPERATING MODE UNDER VERY COLD TEMPERATURES (BELOW -7°C (20°F)). ENSURE THAT THE SERVICE PROCEDURE IS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE AT OR NEAR ROOM TEMPERATURE.
