2002-2003 EXCURSION, SUPER DUTY F SERIES

ISSUE:

Some 2002 and 2003 model years 5.4L, 6.8L and 7.3L (only) Super Duty F-Series and Excursion vehicles may exhibit the following conditions:

2002 Model Year

  • 5.4L/6.8L applications - "Wait To Start" lamp illuminates and stays on and/or flashes intermittently
  • 7.3L applications - "Wait To Start" lamp does not shut off within calibrated time after key-on
  • 7.3L applications - "Wait To Start" lamp illuminates while driving and stays on
  • 7.3L applications - "Wait To Start" lamp flashes intermittently while driving

2003 Model Year

  • 7.3L applications - "Wait To Start" lamp flashes intermittently while driving

This condition refers to the illumination of the "Wait To Start" lamp only and does not affect engine starting and/or engine operation.
