This 1959 F-250 belongs to Kenneth Lear (kleareclipse.net)

It has a 292 medium duty V8, 4 speed transmission, and factory 4 wheel drive. This truck has only 17,000 original miles. It was owned by a fire department for most of it's life as a "light truck" (a homemade flatbed with a huge light on the back), which was used only to shine light on night time fires. The bed was replaced and the truck was sold to a guy who painted the truck white. He then sold it to a high school student who owned it for about a year as his daily driver. I am the fourth owner. I bought this truck in late 1999. It has replaced the void I have felt since I was forced to sell my first '59 pickup about 17 years ago. The body is very solid (except for needing a few minor repairs), but the undercarriage is a bit rusted. I plan to restore this truck to original condition except for the following:
Paint: will be a metalic black cherry color
Wheels: will be 33 or 35 x12.5 BF Goodrich mud terrain, on chrome wagon wheels
Mirrors: Stainless steel Jr. West Coast
Interior: Black, rolled and pleated I also plan to re-chrome the bumpers, and replace the missing windshield trim. It will be brought inside before winter, but for now I'm having too much fun "catching up on old times" and doing some local driving.
