This nice 1977 F250 Hi Boy belongs to Danny Ling (Rubberducky23webtv.net)
This is my 77 F250 Hi Boy. It has a well buit 400M. It has a Holly 600 cfm carb sitting on an Edelbrock Streetmaster aluminum intake. All the valve train is Energy Cams components. Ignition is pretty much stock except a Accel Super Stock coil.
Exhaust is scavenged with a set of Heddman Hedders and pushed through a pair of turbo mufflers. The engine has a .030" overbore with TRW 9.0 to 1 pistons.
The power is fed through a C6 automatic tranny and a NP 205 transfercase. Both stock. The front axle is a Dana 44 with Dana 60 outers. Spindles, bearings, hubs, brake rotors, calipers, and locking hubs are all 1 ton components. The rear axle is a Dana 60, stock including the factory limited slip differental. Both have 4.10 gears.
The wheels are American Racing chrome directionals 16.5x9.75. They are wrapped by a set of BFG all terrain tires 33x12.50x16.5. The interior has a Coach Works 40 20 40 split bench seat with console. Tunes are played by a JVC detachable face radio, and the steering is started by a Grant steering wheel.
Cosmetic features are a 79 grill with billet insert. The paint is IROC blue with a Corvette white stripes. This truck actually rides on stock!!!! springs. No lift what so ever.
This truck was built to tow through the Colorado mountains. On July 6th 1998 I won the Northern Tennessee St. Fair truck tug of war contest. I was the only ford registered in the contest out of 18 trucks. The fan support was incredible.
