This 1954 F100 belongs to Abram H. Stauffer (astauffeoak.kcsd.k12.pa.us)
I bought this 1954 Ford F-100 from my grandfather in 1977. He bought it
new. I have driven the truck, aka "Old Betsy" (named by my then-five
year old son), almost daily every year since then with the exception of
July 1998-August 1999 while it was at the body shop! The 239 ohv V-8
engine was rebuilt in 1979. The original color is Meadow Green and I
tried to match that. Grandpa used the truck hard on his dairy farm and
it deserved a good restoration. I am pleased with the result. It is not
a show truck but a daily driver. Yet I think its heavy hauling days are
over!
