Largest Import Tuner, Sport Compact, Modern Muscle, Stance & VIP Event on the East Coast

CARLISLE, PA – The weekend of May 14th and 15th, Carlisle Events will host the 16th edition of Carlisle Performance & Style, at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds. 

Carlisle Performance & Style is more than a car show; P&S is a motorsports and lifestyle festival celebrating the hottest trends in the motorsports world.  New trends that will be featured with special guests, competitions, and displays at the 2011 event include: special guest 2010 Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr.; Best-of-Carlisle and Carlisle Elite top-flight cash prizes; legendary motorcycle stunt team, the StarBoyz; a parked-by-class judged showfield; Modern Muscle Nationals, remote control drifting competitions and a Euro/Stance indoor invitational display presented by Low Life & Junk Style. 

As much as the special additions add to the excitement of the weekend, the event is still mostly about the cars and their owners.  In 2010 the Performance & Style show (also known as P&S), hosted just over 1,600 of the loudest, quickest, and most custom cars, trucks, and SUVs in the region.  Event Manager, Patrick Lemay, expects to see that number grow even more in May.  “We were really excited to see the event grow in 2010 and we expect to see that trend continue this year with even more cars on the judged and non-judged showfields,” noted Lemay.  “There are far less events for this scene than there were four or five years ago, yet people who are passionate about the hobby of building custom, performance, and luxury-styled new model cars are still very active in the hobby and are coming out with some of the best vehicles we’ve ever seen.”  Lemay continued, “We’re happy to be able to provide an exciting, fun, and competitive event for younger automotive enthusiasts to get together and celebrate their passion.” 

In addition to the new features for 2011, P&S will present activities and displays that have been hugely popular in years past, including the ICE House – displaying custom vehicles with a focus on in-car-entertainment; NICOFest autocross racing; the Manufacturers Midway and swap meet vending areas; and the famous Carlisle Burnout and Bikini contests.
