Major Product Changes

2001 F-150 Regular Cab/SuperCab/SuperCrew

OVERVIEW

For 2001 F-150 evolves further as the proven leader in its segment. Interior improvements include Seat Integrated Restraints on all SuperCabs with 60/40 Split Bench Seats and Captains Chairs and Manual Passenger Lumbar on all 60/40 Split Bench Seats and Captains Chairs. Powertrain improvements result in a "Power Improved" 4.6L Triton™ engine that delivers 231 HP. 4WABS becomes standard on XL models and is now standard across the F-Series line. Child seat tethers are added for your customers' convenience, standard audio systems are upgraded for XL and XLT and some new standard equipment is added on XLT and Lariat to meet customers' expectations and wants. The Work Series as a series is eliminated, but essentially the same content is available as a Work Truck Option Group on XL models. We believe your work truck customers will appreciate getting some added content on their trucks - including underhood light, dual map lights, map pockets in door trim panels, and a nicer XL wheel - as well as their proven, industrious, Built Ford Tough work truck. SuperCrew continues as the tough, industrious, proven & indestructible pickup truck with four full size doors and comfortable seating for six adults. This evolutionary addition to the F-Series line-up expands the utility of a full size pickup, without compromising its "tough truck" image and the F-Series tradition of leadership.

MODEL/SERIES/AVAILABILITY CHANGES

The SuperCrew, SuperCab and Regular Cab order guides have been combined.
Harley-Davidson® F-150 SuperCrew added
King Ranch F-150 SuperCrew (63K) added. Includes unique leather, significant content and unique upgraded tu-tone.
Work Series as a separate series is eliminated. It is replaced by the Work Truck Option Group (772), which deletes certain content from the XL model.

Off Road Equipment Group (55R) now available on SuperCrew 4x4
New Wheel added to XLT Sport Group. 17" Cast Aluminum 10 Spoke (64Z)
