5 Dashboard Mods for Your Ford Truck

1. Light Modifications

LED lighting kits are widely available on the web. There are specific kits for speaker lighting, cup holder illumination, floorboard lighting, and LED dash lights. For added style, add some color to the no nonsense black and gray dash with a easily installed dash kit to you Ford truck.  Faux wood grain and carbon fiber dash kits are also available online to add some luxury or high tech sport style.

3. Dials and Switches

If you have additional exterior fog or driving light, you'll need a switch panel to control them all. For those of you living in the snow belt, and plowing the white stuff, the plow controls should be installed within easy reach. 4. Mounted iPad

For added entertainment and GPS navigation capabilities, mount your iPad on the dash of your truck.  Or course, you shouldn't be checking facebook while you drive, but when you park you'll have the ability to play a movie for the kids or review your dash cam on a larger screen.  The internal storage, and cell phone data connection also give you almost unlimited music and pod cast options to pump through your stereo.

5. Digital EGT Guage

If you have an EcoBoost, or a diesel Super Duty, you really ought to keep tabs on the exhaust gas temperature of the motor. Run the motor at high levels of boost for too long and really bad things can happen. The coolant temp gauge is much slower to respond, but a EGT will let you know before it is too late to back off the gas.
