Description:
This truck has an unknown history for the most part. It was manufactured in the Long Beach, California plant in late 1951 and somehow, sometime, somebody drove it cross-country all the way to Maine. With the 4:86 rear gears since they are still in the truck today! That must have been along, slow ride. In the 1980's and 1990's it was used as a storage truck for a theater group who did puppet shows. It was usually used in parades with stilt walkers and giant puppets. The engine overheated and seized and the whole thing was kicked to the curb. It was in a city parking lot for four years being vandalized by bored kids while homeless bums and crack addicts used the cab for shelter and a bathroom. I obtained the truck in 2008 as a rusted out wreck that nobody wanted.
Slowly it is getting returned to stock configuration.
