Show Me The Low. (Lowered 80' - 86' Truck Thread)
Hello All, I am a recent F150 owner, and have always owned custom VW's.
I was looking for a change and ran up on my 1984 F150, and absolutely love it.
However I am finding it increasingly hard to find folks with custom 80'-86' F150's. Hoping I could find some inspiration here. This is my first post, and I am happy to have found this great forum.
Enough with the babbling, I will share what I have found. Cheers!
A bit much, but I think it has a killer stance!

Okay, Lets see 'em!!!

Don't get me wrong I love a nice lifted ford, Heck I almost purchased a lifted bronco. I don't like custom low to the extreme, however a nice "Street Rod" look gets me every time.
Good Example:

Bad Example:

Well, good be a sick ride. I would loose the wheels, and the candy purple paint job!!!

Here's other examples:
The last being mine...oh Brownie
I have yet to do anything drastic...but a lower stance is what I will pursue. You are right...most go up with their trucks...but I think they are look good either way.
I need a good looking set of wheels for the moment.
Joelsdelone...the look you proposed for your truck is funky..."eye like"!!!

Mines still in progress, but it sits very low. With car sized tyres and no air in the bags the chassis lies on the ground, but with the regular 235/75/R15s put on it sits about 2 inches off at the lowest point, as you can sort of see in my pic. Engine is back in, but keeping the panels off until the rear end is finished and I can move it to get the custom headers done.
