Thumbs up My 1 ton is pack on the road...

I had to build new spark plugs, it was a bit tedious, but worth it to get Peggy-Sue back on the road...

She is running great now!

Thanks! I might sell her though, it's getting too hard to find parts for... If you know anyone looking for a sweet 1946 let me know... She was kept in the barn for years so looks really good for her age.

Great to see you here Kristi. We talked last year about the truck. It sure is a nice looking vehicle. Yours is what I hope to end up with at some point, but my budget only allows the purchase of totally dead fixer-uppers, that I can rebuild with all the used parts I've stored around here. Besides if I bought something already done I'd have to come up with a new past time for the weekend, like watching sports or playing golf, or pacman go. None of which appeals to me. Did you and your dad get the new master cylinder in?

Pretty much, but no reclining babe sticker on the left. Your clutch and brake pedal pads show very little wear. Often an indication of low original miles. How are the floors when you pull back the rubber floor mat? Many perspective buyers would want to know.

Floors are good...

It was kept in the barn so the floors are great. There is just one rust spot on the whole body on the passenger side behind the door. It's superficial though. I was going to paint it but everyone says I should leave it original. There is also a little superficial rust on the waterfall grill. You can see it in the picture of the front. There are 63,000 miles on it. I don't drive it much because I have another car, and my motorcycle. I don't want to break it because it's hard to find parts...

Nice truck Kristi! When you say you had to build new spark plugs, that is something new to me. Can you please provide some more info on that? Thanks

Not really. You might want to cover it up though in that humid outside it might rust up faster. That is a nice truck.

I just had to build the wires, measure them out and put all the ends on, it wasn't that big of deal just a little time consuming. ~Kristi

Don't give up,

There are several parts houses where you can find most anything for that truck including correct wires.

Gothem

Mac's Antique

Bob Drake

Early Ford Store

Denis Carpenter

just to name a few.
