Serpentine belt squeal when warm
I have an odd issue that I cannot figure out. Shortly after replacing my very cracked serpentine belt on my 89 4.9L F150, it developed a very loud squeal. You can hear it coming from a block away. Since it sounded like it was coming from the tensioner, so I had that replaced. No luck. The mechanic then thought it was the power steering pump, so I had that replaced as well. No luck again. Spraying lubricant in that area seems to stop it temporarily, but it comes back.
When starting the truck up, it does not sound but shortly after it becomes VERY loud. I'm completely out of ideas and so is my mechanic. Before I throw any more money at this issue, I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem. I have searched around and not found too much.
Thanks in advance.
