Out with the old and some cleaning up time. I've been Writing each step and part I take off so I don't forget anything. Getting ready to pull this heavy chunk of metal out
Clean up time and removing valley pan
Old intake and carb. Anybody need this old one? Almost brand new carb from previous owner. Was running good when installed. Id be willing to sell for cheap and buyer cover shipping.

Glad to see someone is doing a writeup on this. I did not have time to take step by step pictures of my install. If you have questions during this journey be sure to post up. I'm headed out on vacation tomorrow but will check this thread when I get back on the 30th.

New intake installed. Just followed the instructions on torque and tightening sequence. I mounted the fitech when the intake was out of the truck. My stock throttle linkage fits nice but I did have to buy a carb accessory kit from oreillys. Came with some extra ball linkage mount (don't know the real name) part number 12413. Also bought edelbrock gasgacinch from oreillys for installing the intake.

One last piece of advice before I leave today. The RPM input signal wire for the FiTECH should be run all by itself. Do not bundle it with any other wires. This caused me some headache.

Distributor was a pain in my *** trying to get the oil pump rod thing to line up. I did some reseach and used a 5/16 socket, greased yhe socket up, reached down for the oil rod and slowly pulled it up. Than lined the distributor and rod. Slowly put it back in. About 3/8 was not going down so i bumped the motor and boom, we were in.

I got everything installed and first try at starting the timing was off. I ended up redoing TDC and adjusting the distributor according. Everything after that worked great.

so far incredible notice in response and a lot more power. Very happy with the product and ease of installation. I didn't get a chance to hide the wires the way i wanted as I really needed it tomorrow.

Will keep updating as I drive it more.

I keep looking at them but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
