Time to get back at it

I got this truck last July and did a little to it but I didn't get it going in time for winter. It's been sitting in the driveway and now that the snow is kind of going away it's time to get back to work on it. It's a 78 F250with a 460 swap. I picked it up last year and drove it home with a bad brake line and the carb puking gas. I didn't like the way the power steering pump was sitting (cockeyed) and the home made alt. bracket was wrong. Well I have decided to go with the cvf set up after the R@R bracket mess. The question I have is what power steering hose do I need that will connect a Saginaw pump to the gear box? I know I read it on here somewhere but couldn't find the thread. I want to get the new pump and hose ordered so I will have everything ready when the pulley and bracket kit shows up.

Depends what pump you have and what year it was manufactured for instance.

2x types of fittings: Hose fit (Early pumps) and seat fit w/ "O" ring (Later pumps)
multiple thread variations but the typical threads are 5/8x18 or M16x1.5

A good technique is to go with AN fitting conversions. Take your pump to a race shop or fastener shop and start playing with fittings that will convert to a AN6 or 8 high pressure hose.

A good conversion table is attached since it wouldn't embed in the message body:

1967/77 with Ford/Thompson 'pencil neck' P/S pump with steel reservoir: P/S pressure hose threads onto the pump.

1978/79 with Ford C-II P/S pump with plastic reservoir: P/S pressure hose has an o-ring on the pump end, attaches to the pump w/a qwik connect fitting.
