Aftermarket warranty calls

I get calls, sometimes even twice a day, always from a different phone number and different state. They are all from some aftermarket warranty company trying to sell me a plan that I don't want. They will be very nice talking to you until you ask to be removed from the call list, then they just hang up. Anybody know how to get this stopped?

I have been dealing with this exact same issue, even though my number has been registered on the do not call registry with the FCC for years. What pisses me off the most is the fact that I have told these same companies over and over again that I am not interested in their warranty. Recently, I have started experiencing the same thing you have, where they hang up on you as soon as you tell them you remove your number from the list. Another thing I have noticed is that the numbers have now started to be local.

I read an article a while back where someone started making a list of all the numbers of these warranty companies that called, the date/time of the call, and the number of calls received. The person then contacted an attorney and provided him with the list of numbers. The attorney was able to find out the names of all the companies, filed a lawsuit against them, and won.

I hate those calls. I get them for my 2011 F150 that was totaled out last July, this truck I have now, and my wife-s 08 Escape. And my son got one today for his 2014 Fiesta.

Paying Nomorobo would be the same as allowing them to win. I like the idea of logging the call numbers and times. I had been wondering how I could charge them with legal actions like harassment.

Scrolling through my recent calls list I could identify 20 calls. I made a list and the next few times they call I will talk to them long enough to get a company name.

Tell them they've got you confused with someone else... that you don't own a Chevy.

I usually string them along for a bit then I add them to the auto reject list. I must have hundreds of numbers in my auto reject by now.

The last one that called me about a truck I no longer owned, I stated I no longer have that truck but I got a 1910 Ford model T that needs full coverage, has many problems and want a quote.......he stated they dont cover cars that old....I asked why the heck not and chewed his butt for not allowing coverage...I said cover it or stop bothering me.....he hung up on me(darn him) cuz I wasnt done with him......lol....Then if the number is present and Im doing nothing anyways I call back and let the next operator have it for the previous one being rude......For some reason they dont call me anymore.......... Another fun one is to hit on the operator and get them all flustered, or try selling them something of yours and carry on about it not giving them a chance to talk......

I have had them also call me and ask to cover a vehicle I no longer own. When I tell them I no longer have it, they ask what I am driving now. I tell them that's none of their business and hang up.

Finally talked to one of them and found out that the company is called the Dealer Warranty Center. They call from a different number every time so it doesn't do any good to block the numbers. I'll be taking my list of calls into an attorney, hopefully a hungry one, to see if they can do anything.

Please let us know how your meeting goes. I get calls from this Dealer Warranty Center too, and the numbers are different every time.

I just called the latest number that called me, 970-514-3010 and it went to a recorded message. It offered press 1 to be taken off the call list or leave a message. I pressed one and it said to allow 24 hours for it to take place.

Maybe that will work.

I have tried calling some of these numbers back several times, and the only thing I get is beeping. I have never been able to get through.
