The grille is 1964 and hood side emblem pre-dates 1965. And if ND said RR might be a 292 engine then 1965 would not seem correct either for that reason.

I'm looking at the 1965 Canadian Engine Codes in the 1975 Final Issue MPC and there is no RR listed. Might be an RR code for 1964, but this catalog doesn't go into 1964 Canadian.

No Ford truck came with an IHC gas engine, so the engine has been swapped. Radiator isn't original either.

1983 was the first year that F250/350's were available with a V8 diesel engine (6.9L), that was made by Navistar (formerly known as IHC) for FoMoCo.

it is a gas IHC weird someone must have done a gas swap in this prob 30 years a go

as for a year 173080 = 1965 Numerical Sequence of Assembly. was what ND posted

so that would make it 65 build year and a 66 truck? or still 65?

anything else u guys wanna see lemme know i can snap photos

dose anyone know where the ignition starter relay solenoid would be or soposto be on this truck? lol thanks again

No.
The only Ford trucks that used these 6 lug wheels on a 7.25" bolt circle: 1953/66 F350 & P350 Parcel Delivery.

Without heroic efforts you are, as Bill said, stuck with the 6 lug x 7.25" pattern. But there are more user and service friendly options to replace your stock 16s. Optional on Ford F-350s 1956-1966, and on similar Dodges, IHCs, and Studebakers were tubeless 17.5" x 5.25" wheels. There were two versions, both made by Budd. The earlier version has six hand holes (Budd #71320), and the later having three hand holes (#79120). I'm away from my books so won't cite the Ford numbers, but they won't be found on the wheels so doubt that matters. The Budd numbers will be found on the concave sides along the raised drop centers. The 17.5" tires wont be as cheap or as easy to find at Wally World, but they are much more easily serviced than your stock wheels having the two part Firestone RHP style outer rims. These wheels can still be found in yards, but might take some looking. Stu

awesome thanks again guys i think i will have to just be stuck with this set up for rims until i change the axles out i guess to get a standard 8x6.5.

one thing i was confused about is this truck has a different style of mounting the front of the engine

not like how my 66 was one large nut in the front in the centre

this truck has two smaller bolts holding the front of the engine still in the centre just not the same way as my 66

anyone also know if a similar Y block would fit in the factory motor mount location

similar to what i just did on the 66 as i pulled out the 352 and put in a newer 390

1965 F100/350 etc. Canadian Built - Serial Numbers start with 195,001.

Your truck is 173,080 - thus it MUST pre-date 1965. I still believe this is a 1964 model year truck.

See Page 37 of Text MPC.

I called ford today to see if they can decode the vin for the year and engine and what not

but my front mount looks different from those once again. I'll post some
potos later today.

It it looks like I have the 4x4 style on the top as it has the braces in between the crossmember

I'd be surprised if FoMoCo of Canada still has this info.
