Timing service
Hello everyone
first of all i like to say thank you everyone for valuable info on this site this is my first Ford engine that i work on i found a lot of useful info here.
i ready to tackle big job for 2005 Lincoln Navigator 5.4l 3v engine but i have a few question
1-i like to install oil adapter sandwich for mechanical oil pressure gauge is that safe and which adapter is right for that engine, i search there is a lot of M22 adapter but don't know which one to pick or i can go with digital gauge avoid oil line
2-since we all use Melling M360 oil pump should i consider MMR tensioner or these F6AZ-6L266-DA (RH) and F6AZ-6L266-CA (LH)
or original Ford
3-is that ok to install new camshaft on any head of course same side and correct part
thanks in advance

Personally, I would get the metal chain tensioner with ratchet. MMR sells them.
4.6 / 5.4 UPGRADED Primary chain tensioners Ford Modular Engine [444877] - $149.99 : Modular Motorsports, Home of the Worlds Fastest Modular Engines
The MMR ones might be better, but have a higher price. I might also consider a new oil pump, there are upgrade options for that as well with a better back plate.
