Red face What were the odds?

Oct. 26, 2016 was a very exciting day for me. I drove to a Ford dealership and ordered my first Ford truck. I had saved for almost 10 years to do this and now it had come true. I ordered a F-250 4x4, Lariat Ultimate, 6.2, 4.30, crew cab, Ingot silver two tone. I went through all the waiting hoops, order date, getting the vin#, finally seeing the window sticker, build date, in transit and then arriving at the rail yard at Benicia, Ca and down to 2 days to delivery at the dealership. Well, we got a lot of rain and I find out that part of the rail yard has been flooded. I was suppose to pick up my truck on 1-19-2017, but instead find out it was one of the vehicles damaged! Well long story short now, after being devastated and sold my current vehicle 2 days before scheduled delivery I first debated if getting a new truck was meant to be. I took a few days to "recover" and then I decided to reorder! Now it starts all over again with conservative excitement. Thank you for the words of encouragement I received from some of the members of this forum and all of you are the reason why I reordered. So I guess another three month wait again, a lot different than just going to a car lot and driving home with a new vehicle, but it is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Here we go again, love looking at all of your trucks, it's still a dream for me.

One could say same type of odds of me getting a SuperLemon.

Once in a life time lesson one hopes but we learn both from our mistakes and success.

Let's hope both our new trucks come out on top. If you see a new oxford white 350 with blacked bed liner rocker panels run like the wind the other direction. She is cured and thus SuperLemon.

Sorry to hear that, I hope we don't have more heavy rain as before when your truck arrive (I'm from Sacramento)
I was lucky that mine showed up before the heavy rains, I would be in same situation, mine got in dealerships on 12/23

The rains have been heavier than in many years. I'm in Yolo Co. Hang in there. You will be glad that you did. I ordered mine on Labor Day weekend and it arrived just before Christmas. It replaced a truck I had been driving for 13 years. These 2017s are incredible vehicles.

The good news is, they are now being built much more quickly than the last time you ordered. Mine is scheduled to come in 1 day under 7 weeks. Hopefully the same works out for you!

And I thought I had to wait a long time. Just hang in there it's worth the wait. Every time I get into my truck I love it. I find something new with truck everyday. The truck is awesome!

norcalgal, I had to reorder also. The second truck arrived much faster than the first one. Good luck!

Yes, I hope mine arrives faster too, but it has a long train ride, last time took one month to make it to CA.

Don't think that didn't cross my wild imagination, I will make sure it has a different vin# plus I added a couple of things.

Sorry to read of your misfortune, especially after working so hard and saving for so long. Hopefully the memory of it will fade quickly once you have your truck.

I'm in the foothills outside Sacramento. We have overflowing rivers, mud slides, trees down, sink holes. What a way to put an end to the drought.

Looking forward to some pics once you get the new truck.

Were you able to confirm a priority 01 on the new order? You'd think that the dealership would have coordinated with their regional rep. If ever there was a reason for cutting to the front of the line, your's is it.
