After installing single shot PIS 175 / 80 injectors, my garage will fill up with diesel smoke from all the hazing at cold start. Is this normal for single shots? My truck never did this stock.

You may need to have some programming done if you had splits and went to singles.

As BBD said, do you have a tuner? Did you have the tunes changed for single shot 175/80 injectors?

 

I should have included in the original post. I'm running a Hydra Tuner with Gear Head tunes.

 

That is too much smoke. Contact Gearhead with the video link. They can email you new tunes.

 

I emailed GearHead and they want to know what my IPR, ICP and MFD is at operating temperature while at idle. I can find ICP and IPR easy enough on torquePro. How do I monitor Mass Fuel Desired? Can this be done with TorquePro?

Thanks! I'll need to spend some time on this thread to familiarize myself on how to enter in custom equations.

 

My torque pro has mass fuel desired as one of the pids in the Ford extended PID list. Haven't ever verified it though.

 

did you download hydra help and check the tunes that are on the chip. I have the same injectors and chip from pis and some how the chip was sent with the wrong tunes lots of smoke rough idle and burning eyes. If you don't have stealth mode on tuner they are wrong. Called gearhead and they sent correct files

 

Good thought. I have Tunes from both PHP and GearHead. Both smoke like this. Here are the tunes I have.

 

They look like the correct ones. I get a little smoke when cold.
