98 Expedition XLT blend door actuator

Trust me I have searched.What I can't seem to find is how to remove the duct work.The Y duct that goes under the seats and the duct under the actuator.Anyone?????

There is an alternative way to get to the blend door actuator via the glove compartment. There is a kit that I used to cut the plastic covering - yes, you have to remove the door to get to the actuator. It took almost a full day's time to do it, but I eventually got it. Do a google search for the alternative. Good luck!

Thanks cjennjr. I ran across the kit you are talking about.If memory serves me correctly that is for replacing the door.Doesn't the actuator still have to drop down to clear the housing?That's the problem I'm having.Getting the duct work out from under the actuator so the actuator will drop down and come out.

Get a Haynes manual from Autozone and it can give you ideas for removing parts of the center console and ducts. Mine was a pain to get to. Hope this helps...
