Blend door vacum line repair
Hello everyone,
While under the hood of my truck tonight for an un-related purpose; I noticed that a white vacuum line leading to what I believe is the blend door actuator, has rotted apart in one area. I need to repair or replace it. I'm just pleased I noticed it before being on the road somewhere this winter and realizing that the thing wasn't working.
It appears to enter the actuator thru a 90deg rubber nipple, and enter the vehicle along with what looks to be other vacuum lines and wires thru a rubber grommet.
I haven't made it to the parts store yet to look at my options. What do you guys suggest doing?

I figured that would be the response. I hate cobbing stuff together anyway when I don't have to.
Is that stuff easy to find at a parts store? I've never messed with hvac systems before other than replacing a heater core in a different vehicle.

My 2 cents.....Windshield washer hose will work, and it's cheap. The line under the wrap is probably fine. Peel it back until you have an inch or too of good line, put your new hose over it, attach the other end to the valve, rewrap the exposed harness and you'll be good for a long time.
