1967 F500 Horn Button
Gentlemen, I am working on a 1967 F500 that's a farm truck I bought to haul gravel for my place. With some help from the guys here I've gotten it running and fixed some of the worst leaks. Now I'm finishing up some repairs to pass the state inspection for plates (since I bought the truck out of state). The item I need to lean on your guys for is (of all things) the horn button. I need a working horn for the inspection. The horn button I have is broken. I found a replacement online but it's pretty expensive. Does anyone here know of a source for the replacement black plastic (Bakelite?) piece (held on by three screws) that is what's also broken on my 1954 F-750... The numbers on the plastic part are 35247-3. A photo of the horn button is attached. The horn button itself has "DITA" and has the numbers 13A805 followed by two unintelligible letters or numbers below cast into the bottom. I compressed the photos but can send or post the larger copies if needed. Thanks in advance for your input. Bill

Fixed that for ya.
Do you need just the nylon horn button retainer, or do you also need the horn button (which should come with the retainer)?

Why thank you Sir, but...
Considering that there are 324 of the D2TZ retainers available from two sources (plus a lot more I didn't list), I didn't bother looking for any of the replaced part numbers.
The horn button was a different story, I listed the original and two of the replaced part numbers, because...if the OP calls around, might get a better price.
btw: Where did you see that Sanderson has that D1TZ retainer? It's not listed on the D2D, PartsVoice or rearcounter.
Mustang's etc. has 2 .. but 'ol Arnold (the owner) is high buck!

BTW, I remember there was something different about the D9HZ13A805B replacement part. But I know it physically works. Been too long since I've seen one. Blue in the oval maybe?

Because that is where I am sitting right now!
It is with some NOS and repro stuff we have left but are inventoried under the universal "ZL" source rather than "FO" Ford source.
What in the world?
So that stuff won't show up on any locators. Mostly repro. I agree it wasn't necessary to run the older numbers.

Several years ago, Sanderson had a pretty good quantity of D6TZ-16102-A/16103-A
Several months later, all had disappeared, so I assumed they all went bye-bye.

You are correct. None of those here now. Years ago there was a gentleman named Jim Ray here. He headed up the "Specialty" parts. N.O.S., repro, Ford Motorsport, and other h.p. parts. Something happened and he left. This dealership tried a few young'uns from what I've heard. But then it all faltered. Heck, there's even some spark plugs here Jim had given a part number of 12405-A-B8S.
