California Excursion

Hello there,
im a new member and I live in Amman- Jordan. I owned this truck for more than 3 years and I love it. Since my truck is a California's standard as stated on it via VIN, wondering of how many oxygen sensors are there? I found three of them only? ! Could any body help me out to find them or where are they located exactly. Knowing that it is a 5.4 L engine 2000 model. Thanks in advance!

Howdy and welcome to the forum!
Your three oxygen sensors will be located one on each side of the engine's exhaust, just after the manifold on the down pipes before they join together at the Y. The third sensor will be a few inches after the catalytic convertor on the exhaust pipe before the muffler.
My EX has the V-10 but the sensors are in the same places.
Here you can see where the 2 are located on the down pipes before the Y.

Not the best picture, but this shows the third sensor on top of the exhaust, that is the front of the muffler you can see just behind it.

Oh thanks for reply, so basically we have only three of them not four? Even if it was Californian standards!

Yes, only 1 downstream cat. that is the 3rd O2 sensor, it monitors the cat. on my standard X (non-Cali) I only have the 2 upstream O2`s, no downstream (3rd) O2 sensor!
